Review Process

RiUS uses a three-staged review to ensure the quality of its books. The series editors launch a book idea. They approach potential authors and a team of expert reviewers.

  1. The series editors ask the team of reviewers to give feedback on the overall set up of the volume. This step has to ensure that the book covers it's field sufficiently. Authors are asked to provide an abstract.
  2. Abstracts of the book articles are double-blind reviewed. This review takes place in an early phase when the article still has to develop. This increases the potential impact of the review.
  3. A last double-blind review takes place when a draft article is available. This review is intended to ensure the overall quality of the book articles.
